I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science from New Mexico State University (NMSU) in 2021, my Doctorate degree in Computer Systems from Universidad del Sur (UNISUR) in 2013, my master's in Information Technologies from Universidad Interamericana para el Desarrollo (UNID) in 2010, and my bachelor degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Merida (ITM) in 2000.

Research interests

My general research areas are Applied Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Natural Language Processing (NLP). In particular, my Ph.D. research was in the area of Recommender Systems. I have worked on exploring Unsupervised and Deep Learning techniques and analyzing textual reviews to provide better recommendation strategies.
